Different Styles of Israeli Music
Folk dance from Romania. eg. Hava Nagila. Strong driving rhythms nad a syncopated melody. Popular at weddings, danced in a circle.
2/ Klezmer - Also from Eastern Europe which also has a syncopated melody. A homophonic texture with a clear melody and accompaniment. An accordian is a popular instrument together with a cimbalom. (see below). A popular dance for celebrations.
